PRINCE ALBERT

Activities and things to do

Although we endorse putting aside at least one day per visit to just soak in the peace and beauty from your stoep, this little town offers a lot for its visitors.  Prince Albert is home to wonderful artists whose works you can find at the Art Gallery, as well as many private art galleries.  A drive to Weltevrede Fig Farm for coffee and a fig tart is highly recommended, as well as some olive/olive oil tasting at our various olive farms.  We can organise a bio-diversity walk, a historical walk or even a ghost tour for you, or direct you to one of the many hikes in the area.  For the energetic guests, we have a state-of-the-art gym in town, Saturday social tennis games and of course it is MTB paradise with the Swartberg Pass looming right here.  Of course you can also take your car, pay a visit to Oudtshoorn and be back in time for dinner.

Massages and holistic treatments can be arranged and yoga and pilates sessions too!  Our spectacular Showroom hosts shows from time to time in it’s plush, velvety interior.

Of course we must also mention that you can have fabulous meals at so many eateries and buy cheese at the famous Gay’s Dairy.  The Saturday Market is a must for stocking up on local produce and some bric a brac from the Thursday Ladies’ charity stall.  And did you know that you can buy spectacular local and international fashion and homeware here?  Prepare to be astounded!
