Heritage Day Braai

14h00 on Saturday 24 September 2022

Well-known, popular Prince Albert restaurant EAT at Yellow House guest farm has just held a press release during which they stated unequivocally that they will be hosting a KWAAI BRAAI SHISA NYAMA from exactly 14h00 on Saturday 24 September. This group of braai activists has endeavoured to keep the event peaceful, using an all-South African playlist and top quality meat, vegetarian options and their assurance that at least one dessert will contain condensed milk and that koeksisters will be available to all delegates.

When asked about the pressing issue of whether there will be jellied carrot salad made in a Tupperware mould, the spokesperson was non-committal but did hint that biltongbroodjies were a serious consideration.

All the dishes on the menu will be served on each table, dubbed by followers ‘the Table Buffet’, as the EAT group is vehemently and unreservedly against queuing for buffets. Some of the members have been on record, stating that a buffet looks like road kill after the first two guests have dished up.
