Ginger Cottage is accessed via double French doors that create an airy space during summer and a wonderful heat trap for the winter afternoon sun. A lovely mahogany queen bed anchors the space. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, microwave, kettle, fridge/freezer and Nespresso coffee machine, plus locally roasted ground coffee for the French press. The private stoep has a view of the veg garden and we can supply a portable braai on request. The ‘Boordbad’ (swimming pool in the orchard) is always ready and you will find swimming towels on your stoep table. The kitchen table is big enough to set up as a temporary office/meeting space. The unit also features a flat-screen TV with selected channels, as well as air-conditioning and a portable fan. Ginger Cottage is ideal for guests in wheelchairs or with difficulty walking, as there is a cement ramp leading to the stoep and the interior is all on one level. The spacious walk-in shower is easy to reach and this is our only unit with a bath. Disabled guests can reach the entrance of EAT, our restaurant, by stopping right at the entrance of the property and enter through the front door.
