Visit Yellow House | Prince Albert
A working almond and citrus farm, this gem is one of the rare “dorpsplase” – a farm with a street address, 1.8km from the centre of town. Most of the buildings on the farm date from around 1885, the same period when Thomas Bain was busy constructing the majestic Swartberg Pass.
We have six artistically restored, self-catering cottages, each with its own stoep and braai. Crisp white linen, great coffee, and home-baked rusks are ready to pamper you; magnificent stargazing, the ever-present mountains, and the peace and quiet will soothe any tired soul. Our spacious wet-room style bathrooms provide a cool respite from the summer heat. Take a stroll through our orchard or enjoy our gardens – some of our cottages are pet friendly. Take your mountain bike right off the stoep and ride 5km until you hit the dreaded Swartberg Pass!
